REACH FOR RECOVERY HOSTS "LEARN AT LUNCH" ON STRESS MANAGEMENT

Basseterre, St. Kitts: The public is invited to attend a free educational session on stress management hosted by Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Cancer Support Group, in collaboration with the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla Trading and Development Company Ltd. (TDC), on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The session, dubbed “Learn at Lunch,” will take place from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the TDC Conference Room on Fort Street, Basseterre, under the theme “Stand Up to Stress!” — Handling Pressure Before It Piles Up. TDC Counsellor, Mrs. Andrea James Wattley, will lead the presentation, sharing practical tips on managing stress as part of a healthy lifestyle and highlighting the importance of prioritising mental and physical well-being. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and

gain useful insights into effective stress management. Light lunch will be provided. The initiative forms part of activities organized by Reach for Recovery SKB and its partners in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, recognized internationally each October. Through education and awareness, the organization continues to encourage individuals to take proactive steps towards protecting their health and supporting those affected by breast cancer. The “Learn at Lunch” initiative is designed to make health education accessible during the traditional lunch hour, allowing individuals to benefit from important wellness information without having to commit an entire day to a workshop. The session also recognizes the emotional and financial challenges that breast cancer and other illnesses can place on individuals, families and the workforce. Vouchers for free mammograms will also be presented to selected participants, further reinforcing the importance of early detection and regular health screenings. Reach for Recovery SKB and TDC encourage members of the public to attend, become informed and take practical steps towards managing stress and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. The public is reminded that prevention begins with awareness, and taking care of one’s health is a responsibility worth prioritising.
