RAIN CANCELS CPL MATCH

Major disappointment for Cricket fans who showed up at Warner Park on the evening of Sunday 30 th

August, to witness the much-anticipated CPL game between the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and the

Antigua and Barbuda falcons. Fans from Nevis proceeded with caution, knowing that Tropical storm Dolly was passing through the Leeward Islands and also being aware that a flash flood warning was in effect for up to noon on that day. Calls were made and fans were assured that the pitch and grounds were in great condition and that the rains had held up and that the match was set and ready to go.

However, not long before the scheduled start of the game, the rain came down with such intensity that

the officials eventually had to call off the game. The fans from Nevis, returned home, sorely disappointed and wetter for the experience, without seeing a single ball bowled. The next game at Warner Park is slated for tomorrow Tuesday 1 st September, when the Patriots team is set to engage the Barbados Tridents. Fans will be hoping for much better weather conditions.
